The urban expansion area south of the railroad line and the highway at Klagenfurt's west entrance is a very attractive residential area due to its good accessibility and location near the lake, despite the existing noise pollution, which is also confirmed by the projects already realized and under construction. A development with a density of 1.2 is to be evaluated as an adequate urban density for this area, however, the desired bus routing through the neighborhood in question and the high number of desired car parking spaces (1.5 cars / residential unit) represents a major challenge for the urban planning concept.
