From an urban planning point of view, the clearly limited height development of the future extension building is clearly comprehensible, especially with regard to the scale within the surrounding development. Due to the low height and the given building area as well as the required gross floor areas, a building volume that fills the building area is proposed with subtractions in the form of open edges and atriums. In order to meet the desire for maximum communication within the planned university units and at the same time in conjunction with the existing universities, a development is proposed that signals openness all around and expresses this in the design.
