Scope of the competition The new construction of a research and office building at the Technical University of Dresden to accommodate the Lehmann Center II. The planned location of the building is in the second row on the "technology mile" Nöthnitzer Straße, directly west of the data center of the Lehmann Center. Here, in direct proximity to the Faculty of Computer Science and the high-performance computer, the technical intersections between the resident institutes can be optimally used. The aim of the new building project is to enable new scientific findings in the field of information and communication technologies to be discussed and further developed on a broad expert level in a transparent and open communication structure and in close cooperation with the neighbouring research institutes.

The room program to be realized for the "Lehmann Center II" comprises a total floor space (Usable Area) of approx. 9,500 m². Of this, 6,150 m² are office and consulting rooms (Usable Area), 1,780 m² are laboratories and the like. (Usable Area) and 830 m² classrooms (Usable Area).
