The public space of the market square (Rynek) is enclosed by a framework with a three-dimensional effect that is raised 4.5 metres above road level. This permits unrestricted movement of pedestrians and the tram below, at the same time creating façades for the interior and divided spaces for the outside area.

The central space with sealed surface remains free of permanent fixtures, thus enabling flexible organisation for temporary public events. The zone covered by the massing, in contrast, is equipped with urban furniture and forms a protected amenity area that can also be used for small public functions such as trade or bicycle stands.

The outdoor spaces are defined as squares with dense greenery in order to create a character that contrasts with the interior.
